PROCLAMATION NO. 2395

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 11 TO 17, 1985, AS "ASIAN MINING '85" WEEK

WHEREAS, the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines is sponsoring "Asian Mining '85", the first international mining Conference and Exhibition to be held in the Philippines.

WHEREAS, "Asian Mining '85" has attracted the interest of the mining community not only in Asia, but also in Europe, America and Australia; and

WHEREAS, this international mining event, which will project the potential of the Philippine mining industry, deserves the support of the Philippine Government to insure its success.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from February 11 to 17, 1985, as "Asian Mining '85" Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
