PROCLAMATION NO. 1220
DECLARING MONDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2021, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGRAS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE
WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes Escoda, a World War II heroine and the founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, was born on 20 September 1898 in Dingras, Ilocos Norte;
WHEREAS, on 20 September 2021, Monday, the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte, will mark the celebration of the birth anniversary of Josefa Llanes Escoda; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingras be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Monday, 20 September 2021, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 17th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-One.
