PROCLAMATION NO. 1008
DECLARING THURSDAY, 10 SEPTEMBER 2020, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CULION, PROVINCE OF PALAWAN
WHEREAS, on 10 September 2020, Thursday, the Municipality of Culion, Province of Palawan, will mark the commemoration of Father Javier M. Olazabal Memorial Day; aScITE
WHEREAS, Father Javier M. Olazabal, in his eighteen (18) years as Chaplain of Culion, has served leprosy patients in the former Culion Leper Colony and contributed immensely to the development of the local community; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Culion be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Thursday, 10 September 2020, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Culion, Province of Palawan.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of September, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty.
