PROCLAMATION NO. 348
DECLARING WEDNESDAY, 08 NOVEMBER 2017, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF TACLOBAN
WHEREAS, on 08 November 2013, the City of Tacloban was struck by super typhoon Yolanda, causing loss of lives and destruction of property;
WHEREAS, on 08 November 2017, the City of Tacloban will commemorate the persons who perished and survived super typhoon Yolanda, and highlight the resilience of its people; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Tacloban be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Wednesday, 08 November 2017, a special (non-working) day in the City of Tacloban.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
