Creation of Municipality of Pasil in Mountain Province
Republic Act No. 4741, enacted on June 18, 1966, establishes the Municipality of Pasil in Mountain Province by separating several barrios from the municipalities of Lubuagan and Balbalan. The municipal government’s seat will be determined by the newly formed Municipal Council after they assume office. The first local officials, including the mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors, are to be elected in the general elections set for 1967. The Act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on January 13, 1969.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4741
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF PASIL IN MOUNTAIN PROVINCE
SECTION 1. Barrios Balatoc, Guinaang, Pugong, Ableg, Dalupa, Magsilay and Cagaluan in the Municipality of Lubuagan, and Barrio Balinciagao in the Municipality of Balbalan, all in Mountain Province, are separated from said municipalities and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality to be known as the Municipality of Pasil, same province. The seat of the municipal government shall be decided by the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Pasil upon assumption of office. cd i
SECTION 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the new municipality shall be elected in the next general elections for local officials in nineteen hundred sixty-seven.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
