Creation of Municipality of Magsaysay, Palawan
Republic Act No. 3426, enacted on June 18, 1961, establishes the Municipality of Magsaysay in Palawan by separating several barrios from the Municipality of Cuyo. The new municipality's government will be based in the barrio of Danawan. This Act will take effect following the election of municipal officials during the general elections in November 1963. The law was enacted without executive approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 9, 1962.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3426
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAGSAYSAY IN THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN
SECTION 1. The barrios of Los Angeles, Rizal, Lucbuan, Igabas, Imilod, Balaguen, Danawan, Cocoro, Patonga, Tagawayan Island, Siparay Island and Canipo in the Municipality of Cuyo, Province of Palawan, are separated from said municipality and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Magsaysay. The seat of government of the new municipality shall be the present site of the barrio of Danawan. aisa dc
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon the election of the new municipal officials in the general elections for local officials in November of nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
