Creation of Municipal District of Quezon in Nueva Vizcaya
Republic Act No. 3427, enacted on June 18, 1961, establishes the Municipal District of Quezon in Nueva Vizcaya, separating various barrios and sitios along the Magat River from the Municipality of Solano. The new district will have its government seat in Caliat unless a two-thirds majority of its Municipal Council decides otherwise within a year. This Act is set to take effect upon the election of municipal officials in November 1963. The law was enacted without executive approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 9, 1962.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3427
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF QUEZON IN THE PROVINCE OF NUEVA VIZCAYA
SECTION 1. All the barrios and sitios of the Magat River including Daresbes, Boliwao, Caliat, Dariba, Mayabbuang, Madiangat and Nalub-unan in the Municipality of Solano, Province of Nueva Vizcaya, are separated from said municipality, and constituted into a distinct and independent municipal district to be known as the Municipal District of Quezon. The Magat River is the boundary between the Municipality of Solano and this municipal district. Unless otherwise provided by two-thirds vote of all the members of the Municipal Council of said municipal district within one year from its creation, the seat of government of the new Municipal District of Quezon shall be in the present site of the barrio of Caliat. cd i
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon the election of the new municipal officials in the general elections of the municipal officials in November, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
