Creation of Inter-Agency Task Force To Study Human Rights Claims Against the Marcos Estate
Memorandum Order No. 426, issued on April 15, 1997, establishes an Inter-Agency Task Force to examine human rights claims against the Marcos Estate. The Task Force is chaired by the Chairman of the Presidential Commission on Good Government and includes representatives from various government offices, including the Executive Office and the Department of Foreign Affairs. It is tasked with convening promptly and providing recommendations by May 31, 1997. The order takes effect immediately.

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 426
There is hereby created an Inter-Agency Task Force to study the various issues and policy implications involved in the human rights claims against the Marcos Estate. The Task Force shall be chaired by the Chairman, Presidential Commission on Good Government, with the following as members:
