Creation of Barrio Briones in Kalibo, Aklan
Republic Act No. 2180, enacted on May 2, 1959, establishes the barrio of Briones in the Municipality of Kalibo, Province of Aklan, by separating the sitio of Eu-ok from the barrio of Mabilo. This new barrio is recognized as a distinct and independent entity within the municipality. The Act became effective immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on June 15, 1959.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2180
AN ACT CREATING THE BARRIO OF BRIONES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KALIBO, PROVINCE OF AKLAN
SECTION 1. The sitio of Eu-ok in the barrio of Mabilo, Municipality of Kalibo, Province of Aklan, is separated from said barrio, and constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality to be known as the barrio of Briones.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
