Republic Act No. 11824, enacted on June 2, 2022, converts the Kinangan Elementary School in Barangay Kinangan, Municipality of Malita, Davao Occidental, into the Kinangan Integrated School. The act mandates the transfer of all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the former school to the new integrated institution. The Secretary of Education is tasked with including the operationalization of the Kinangan Integrated School in the Department's programs, with funding provided in the annual General Appropriations Act. Additionally, the Secretary must issue implementing rules and regulations within 60 days of the act's approval. The law takes effect 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or a widely circulated newspaper.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11824

AN ACT CONVERTING THE KINANGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN BARANGAY KINANGAN, MUNICIPALITY OF MALITA, PROVINCE OF DAVAO OCCIDENTAL INTO AN INTEGRATED SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS KINANGAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Kinangan Elementary School in Barangay Kinangan, Municipality of Malita, Province of Davao Occidental is hereby converted into an integrated school to be known as Kinangan Integrated School.

SECTION 2. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Kinangan Elementary School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Kinangan Integrated School.

SECTION 3. The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Kinangan Integrated School, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. Within sixty (60) days after the approval of this Act, the Secretary of Education shall promulgate the rules and regulations implementing the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
