Converting the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City, Bohol into the Gov. Celestino Gallares Multi-Specialty Medical Complex

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11883

AN ACT CONVERTING THE GOVERNOR CELESTINO GALLARES MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF TAGBILARAN, PROVINCE OF BOHOL TO THE GOVERNOR CELESTINO GALLARES MULTI-SPECIALTY MEDICAL COMPLEX, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in the City of Tagbilaran, Province of Bohol, is hereby converted into a medical complex to be known as the Governor Celestino Gallares Multi-Specialty Medical Complex (GCGMMC), which shall be under the direct control and supervision of the Department of Health (DOH).

SECTION 2. The GCGMMC shall be comprised of the following: (a) the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center in Tagbilaran City, and (b) the Multi-Specialty Medical Center in the Municipality of Cortes, Province of Bohol.

The two facilities comprising the GCGMMC shall operate as separate and distinct facilities from each other and shall be headed by their respective medical center chiefs.

SECTION 3. Any future increase in bed capacity, health care facilities, service capability, and human resource complement shall be based on the hospital development plan which shall be prepared by the DOH.

SECTION 4. The DOH shall determine the staffing pattern of the GCGMMC subject to the evaluation and approval of the Department of Budget and Management, and appoint the officials and employees of the GCGMMC in accordance with existing civil service laws, rules and regulations.

SECTION 5. The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Department's program the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 6. If any part or provision of this Act is held invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in force and effect.

SECTION 7. Republic Act No. 11324, entitled: "An Act Increasing the Bed Capacity of Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) in Tagbilaran City, Province of Bohol from Two Hundred Twenty-Five (225) to Five Hundred Twenty-Five (525) Beds and Upgrading its Services and Facilities, Amending for the Purpose Republic Act No. 7266, and Appropriating Funds Therefor and for Other Purposes," is hereby amended accordingly.

All other laws, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTION 8. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
