Republic Act No. 9866, enacted on December 20, 2009, converts Ayangan National High School in Barangay Ponghal, Lagawe, Ifugao, into the Ayangan National Agricultural and Vocational High School. This new institution will inherit all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the former school. The Secretary of Education is tasked with including this school's operationalization in the Department's budget and creating necessary regulations for its implementation. The Act will take effect 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9866

AN ACT CONVERTING THE AYANGAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY PONGHAL, MUNICIPALITY OF LAGAWE, PROVINCE OF IFUGAO INTO A NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AND VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS AYANGAN NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AND VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. Conversion into a National Agricultural and Vocational High School. — The Ayangan National High School in Barangay Ponghal, Municipality of Lagawe, Province of Ifugao is hereby converted into a national agricultural and vocational high school to be known as Ayangan National Agricultural and Vocational High School. SECTION 2. Transfer of Assets and Liabilities. — All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Ayangan National High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Ayangan National Agricultural and Vocational High School.

SECTION 3. Appropriations. — The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Ayangan National Agricultural and Vocational High School, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. Implementation. — The Secretary of Education shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SECTION 5. Effectivity. — This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
