Republic Act No. 4279, enacted on June 19, 1965, converts the Maigo Trade School in Maigo, Lanao del Norte, into the Maigo School of Arts and Trades, a regional institution offering secondary and collegiate courses. This school will be managed by the Bureau of Vocational Education and adhere to the School Law. An initial appropriation of one hundred thousand pesos is authorized for its operation and maintenance for the 1965-1966 school year, with future funding to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The Act took effect upon its approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4279

AN ACT TO CONVERT THE MAIGO TRADE SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAIGO, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL NORTE, INTO A REGIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES OF SECONDARY AND COLLEGIATE LEVELS, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Maigo Trade School in Maigo, Lanao del Norte, is hereby converted into a regional school of arts and trades of the Zamboanga City Regional School of Arts and Trades type, to be known as the Maigo School of Arts and Trades. The said school shall be under the supervision of the Bureau of Vocational Education and subject to the provisions of the School Law. Courses of secondary and collegiate levels shall be offered in the school. cd

SECTION 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the Maigo School of Arts and Trades during the school year nineteen hundred sixty-five-sixty-six. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for the same purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
