Batas Pambansa Blg. 431, enacted on June 10, 1983, converts the Sta. Cruz Provincial High School in Davao del Sur into the Sta. Cruz National High School. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with reorganizing the school in line with existing policies. An initial funding of one hundred thousand pesos is allocated from the appropriations for new national high schools, with additional funds to be provided from the national assistance fund and future annual budgets. The act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 2, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE STA. CRUZ PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF STA. CRUZ, PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL SUR, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
SECTION 1. The Sta. Cruz Provincial High School in the Municipality of Sta. Cruz, Province of Davao del Sur, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Sta. Cruz National High School. acd
SECTION 2. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby empowered to cause the reorganization in accordance with the existing policy of the Ministry.
SECTION 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Bilang 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. cd
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
