Republic Act No. 8288, enacted on May 3, 1997, officially converts the Siocon Barangay High School in Compostela, Davao into the Siocon National High School. The act transfers all personnel, records, equipment, and properties from the former institution to the new national high school. Funding for the implementation of this law is to be included in the General Appropriations Act of the following year. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 14, 1997.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SIOCON BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY SIOCON, MUNICIPALITY OF COMPOSTELA, PROVINCE OF DAVAO, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE SIOCON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
SECTION 1. The Siocon Barangay High School in Barangay Siocon, Municipality of Compostela, Province of Davao, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Siocon National High School. cdt
SECTION 2. All personnel, records, equipment, buildings, facilities, and other properties of the Siocon Barangay High School are hereby transferred to the Siocon National High School.
SECTION 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
