Republic Act No. 8286, enacted on May 3, 1997, converts the Quinlogan Barangay High School in Quezon, Palawan, into the Quinlogan National High School. The act transfers all personnel, records, assets, and properties from the former school to the newly established national high school. Funding for this transition will be included in the General Appropriations Act for the following fiscal year and beyond. The law took effect upon its approval and lapsed into law without the President's signature, in accordance with the Constitution.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8286

AN ACT CONVERTING THE QUINLOGAN BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF QUEZON, PROVINCE OF PALAWAN, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE QUINLOGAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1.  The existing Quinlogan Barangay High School is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Quinlogan National High School.

SECTION 2.  All personnel, records, assets, and properties, including buildings, sites and improvements thereof, obligations and funds of the Quinlogan Barangay High School are hereby transferred to the Quinlogan National High School.

SECTION 3.  The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
