Batas Pambansa Blg. 816, enacted on April 27, 1984, converts the Prieto Diaz Provincial Road in Sorsogon into the Prieto Diaz National Road. The law stipulates that funding for the road's improvement and maintenance will initially come from the lump-sum appropriation established under Batas Pambansa Blg. 640 until future appropriations provide dedicated maintenance funds. The Act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on December 17, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE PRIETO DIAZ PROVINCIAL ROAD IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PRIETO DIAZ, PROVINCE OF SORSOGON, INTO A NATIONAL ROAD
SECTION 1. The Prieto Diaz Provincial Road in the Municipality of Prieto Diaz, Province of Sorsogon, is converted into a national road to be known as the Prieto Diaz National Road.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary for the improvement and maintenance of said road shall continue to be funded out of the lump-sum appropriation authorized under Batas Pambansa Blg. 640 for the repair and maintenance of local roads until such time that the maintenance funds for said road shall have been provided for in the succeeding appropriations acts. cdt
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
