PROCLAMATION NO. 2289
PROCLAIMING THE CONVERSION OF THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS OF ADAMS, CARASI AND DUMALNEG, IN ILOCOS NORTE INTO REGULAR MUNICIPALITIES
WHEREAS, Section 136 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 337 provides for the conversion of all existing municipal districts into municipalities;
WHEREAS, the people of said municipal districts desire that conversion of their districts into municipalities be announced immediately to enable their officials to work out the necessary organizational changes;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim the conversion of the municipal districts of Adams, Carasi and Dumalneg in Ilocos Norte into regular municipalities.
