Conversion of Mun. District of Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan into a Regular Municipality
Republic Act No. 5968, enacted on June 21, 1969, converts the Municipal District of Santa Praxedes, previously known as Langangan, into a regular municipality in the Province of Cagayan. The newly designated Municipality of Santa Praxedes will operate as a standard municipality following this conversion. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on March 23, 1970. It was enacted without the need for Executive approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5968
AN ACT CONVERTING THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF SANTA PRAXEDES, FORMERLY LANGANGAN, IN THE PROVINCE OF CAGAYAN, INTO A REGULAR MUNICIPALITY
SECTION 1. The Municipal District of Santa Praxedes, formerly Langangan, in the Province of Cagayan, is hereby converted into a regular municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Santa Praxedes. cdt
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
