Conversion of Kabasalan High School in Zamboanga del Sur into Kabasalan Vocational High School

Republic Act No. 3438, enacted on June 18, 1961, converts the Kabasalan High School in Zamboanga del Sur into a vocational high school named Kabasalan Vocational High School. This institution will offer secondary vocational courses in various trades, home industry crafts, agriculture, and fishery. An appropriation of two hundred thousand pesos is authorized from the National Treasury for the school's conversion and operation in the fiscal year 1962, with future funding to be included in annual General Appropriation Acts. The Act takes effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 9, 1962.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3438

AN ACT CONVERTING THE KABASALAN HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KABASALAN, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, INTO A VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE KABASALAN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Kabasalan High School in the Municipality of Kabasalan, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, is hereby converted into a vocational high school to be known as the Kabasalan Vocational High School which shall offer secondary vocational courses in trades and home industry craft skills, agriculture and fishery.

SECTION 2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-two. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for the same purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
