Conversion of Iloilo National Agricultural School in Lambunao, Iloilo into Iloilo National College of Agriculture

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4016

AN ACT TO CONVERT ILOILO NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAMBUNAO, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE ILOILO NATIONAL COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Iloilo National Agricultural School in the Municipality of Lambunao, Province of Iloilo, is hereby converted into a college to be known as the Iloilo National College of Agriculture, so as to include the following courses in addition to its present curriculum:

(a) Four-year teacher education course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education;

(b) Four-year technical course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; and

(c) Two-year technical agricultural course leading to the title of Associate in Agriculture.

SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly and is further authorized to prescribe each other courses aside from those mentioned above, as he may deem necessary in the pursuance of its real aims and purposes.

SECTION 3. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, in addition to its present appropriation, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purpose of this Act. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for the same purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
