Conversion of Calubian High School in Calubian, Leyte Into a National Vocational School

AN ACT CONVERTING THE CALUBIAN HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CALUBIAN, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, INTO A NATIONAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CALUBIAN NATIONAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

SECTION 1. The Calubian High School in the Municipality of Calubian, Province of Leyte, is hereby converted into a national vocational school to be known as The Calubian National Vocational School.

SECTION 2. The Calubian National Vocational School, in addition to offering general secondary, technological, forestry and other vocational courses, is authorized to expand its curricular offerings, even on collegiate level, as may be deemed necessary by the Minister of Education and Culture who, for this purpose, is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly. cdt

SECTION 3. The Minister of Education and Culture shall immediately implement the provisions hereof, so as to make the Calubian National Vocational School in operation by the first term after effectivity of this Act.

SECTION 4. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools: Provided, That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide its share in the cost of operating and maintaining said school. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be provided for in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
