Batas Pambansa Blg. 363, approved on April 7, 1983, converts the Basilan National Agro-Industrial School in Lamitan, Basilan, into the Basilan National Agro-Industrial College. This college will expand its offerings beyond secondary and vocational courses to include collegiate programs authorized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports. The existing funds for the school will be transferred to support the college's operations, with future funding to be included in subsequent General Appropriations Acts. The new name and status as a college will take effect upon the approval of this Act.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BASILAN NATIONAL AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAMITAN, PROVINCE OF BASILAN, INTO AN AGRO-INDUSTRIAL COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE BASILAN NATIONAL AGRO-INDUSTRIAL COLLEGE
SECTION 1. The Basilan National Agro-Industrial School in the Municipality of Lamitan, Province of Basilan, is converted into a college to be known as the Basilan National Agro-Industrial College. asia dc
SECTION 2. In addition to its present secondary and vocational curricular offerings, the college shall offer such collegiate courses as may be authorized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
SECTION 3. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is directed to take the necessary steps for the immediate implementation of this Act.
SECTION 4. The existing appropriations for Basilan National Agro-Industrial School are hereby transferred to the Basilan National Agro-Industrial College, to be disbursed in accordance with the provisions of this Act. Thereafter, the necessary amount required for the operation and maintenance of the College shall be provided for in subsequent General Appropriations Acts, until which time the operation of the institution as a college shall be deferred, provided that its new name shall take effect upon approval of this Act.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
