Conversion of Banga Rural High School in Aklan into Aklan Agricultural College

Republic Act No. 3439, enacted on June 18, 1961, converts the Banga Rural High School in Aklan into the Aklan Agricultural College. This law empowers the Secretary of Education to reorganize the institution accordingly. An initial appropriation of three hundred thousand pesos is authorized for its operation and maintenance for the fiscal year 1962, with future funding to be included in annual General Appropriation Acts. The Act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 9, 1962.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3439

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BANGA RURAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BANGA, PROVINCE OF AKLAN, INTO AN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE AKLAN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Banga Rural High School in the Municipality of Banga, Province of Aklan, is hereby converted into an agricultural college, to be known as the Aklan Agricultural College. The Secretary of Education is empowered to reorganize said school accordingly. cd

SECTION 2. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-two. Such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
