ACT NO. 3633
AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS AS CONTRIBUTION FOR THE PROMOTION OF TOURIST TRAVEL TO AND IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from any unappropriated funds in the Insular Treasury, the sum of one hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, as a contribution for the promotion of tourist travel to and in the Philippine Islands.
SECTION 2. Out of this fund there shall be paid to the Philippine Tourist Association, with the approval of the Secretary of Commerce and Communications, amounts equal to the contributions which may be paid from time to time by private persons and organizations to the Philippine Tourist Association for the promotion of tourist travel: Provided, That no part of the sum paid out of the Insular Treasury shall be spent except with the approval of the Secretary of Commerce and Communications who shall be furnished from time to time with an itemized statement of the expenditures made: And provided, further, That no part of the aforesaid sum shall be set up on the books of the Insular Auditor until such time as it becomes necessary to make the payments authorized by this Act.
SECTION 3. The Philippine Tourist Association shall submit a report to the Philippine Legislature each year, on the work undertaken by it, results obtained therefrom, and expenditures made.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
