Continuing Judicial Education Program
Supreme Court Administrative Circular No. 6-98 revises the Immersion Program for newly appointed judges in the Philippines. Newly appointed trial judges are required to complete a one-month Immersion Program, while first-level Court judges promoted to Regional Trial Courts must complete a two-week program. Judges who are laterally transferred are exempt from both the Orientation and Immersion Program. This initiative aims to enhance the judicial education and preparedness of judges in the service.

SUPREME COURT ADMINISTRATIVE CIRCULAR NO. 6-98
(AMENDING ADM. CIRCULAR NO. 12-96 DATED NOVEMBER 19, 1996 AND ADM. CIRCULAR NO. 6 DATED OCTOBER 11, 1998)

In the interest of the service, the Immersion Program prescribed under Administrative Circular No. 6, dated October 11, 1988, and Administrative Circular No. 12-96, dated November 19, 1996, is modified as follows:
Newly appointed trial judges shall undergo an Immersion Program for one (1) month. However, first-level Court judges, who are promoted to the Regional Trial Courts, shall undergo the Immersion Program for two (2) weeks.
Judges who are laterally transferred need not undergo the Orientation nor the Immersion Program.
