Conduct of Pre-Appointment Seminar/s for the Implementation of the Judicial Reorganization Law

LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 1158
DIRECTING THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE TO CONDUCT PRE-APPOINTMENT SEMINAR/S FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE JUDICIAL REORGANIZATION LAW
In order to implement effectively Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 otherwise known as the Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980, the Minister of Justice is hereby directed to conduct seminar/s for non-incumbents of the Judiciary aspiring for appointment to the Intermediate Appellate Court, Regional Trial Courts and the Metropolitan Trial Courts. The performance of the participants in the seminar/s shall be considered as one of the factors or bases for the recommendations to be submitted by the Minister of Justice for the President's consideration. The mechanics, course content and other ground rules for the holding of the pre-appointment seminar/s shall be determined and prescribed by the Minister of Justice.
This directive is without prejudice to post-appointment seminar/s and in-service training program/s which the Supreme Court may hold for the benefit of eventually appointed members of the Judiciary. aisa dc
The Minister of Justice shall submit his recommendations on the appointments to the reorganized courts as well as on the form and contents of the implementing Executive Order to be issued by the President and referred to in Sections 43 and 44 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 within 60 days after the completion of the seminar/s authorized herein.
