LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 801

WHEREAS, under Presidential Decree No. 1275 all positions of fiscals and other government prosecutors were declared vacant to facilitate the complete reorganization and overhauling of the government prosecutorial service; and
WHEREAS, there is an urgent need to complete the reorganizational staffing pattern and the screening of the prosecutors who will be retained in the service and those new applicants whose services are needed by the government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and direct;
1. A committee composed of the Chief State Prosecutor, the Presidential Executive Assistant or his representative, a representative of the Solicitor General, the City Fiscal of Manila and the President of the Prosecutors League of the Philippines, is hereby organized to implement the reorganization plan and prepare the staffing pattern in the national prosecution service, and complete the screening of incumbent fiscals or prosecutors as well as new applicants for appointment in the prosecutorial service of the government.
2. The Committee shall submit to the President its recommendations within thirty (30) days from receipt of this Order.
3. Any group or committee now working on the reorganizational staffing pattern and screening of incumbent fiscals or prosecutors and applicants for the prosecution service of the government is hereby ordered to turn over to the Committee herein created all the pertinent record to enable it to immediately perform the tasks and responsibilities assigned to it by virtue of this Letter of Instructions.
