Change of Name of Municipality of New Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte toPiñan
Republic Act No. 2846, enacted on June 19, 1960, officially changes the name of the Municipality of New Pian in Zamboanga del Norte to simply Pian. The act takes effect immediately upon its approval and was enacted without the need for Executive approval. It was later published in the Official Gazette on March 6, 1961.

AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF NEW PIÑAN, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE, TO PIÑAN
SECTION 1. The name of the Municipality of New Piñan in the Province of Zamboanga del Norte, is changed to Piñan. casia
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
