Republic Act No. 4980, enacted on June 17, 1967, officially changes the name of the Municipality of Bayag in Mountain Province to Calanasan. The Act takes effect upon its approval and was enacted without the need for Executive approval. It was published in the Official Gazette on February 24, 1969.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4980
AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYAG, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE, TO CALANASAN
SECTION 1. The name of the Municipality of Bayag, Mountain Province, is hereby changed to Calanasan. cd
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
