Republic Act No. 985, enacted on June 2, 1954, officially changes the name of Laguna High School in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, to Pedro Guevara Memorial High School. This change is made in honor of the significant patriotic contributions of the late Pedro Guevara to the country. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval on June 1, 1954. The law was published in the Official Gazette in June 1954.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 985

AN ACT TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE LAGUNA HIGH SCHOOL IN STA. CRUZ, PROVINCE OF LAGUNA, TO PEDRO GUEVARA MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL

SECTION 1.  In recognition of the eminent and patriotic services rendered to the country by the late Pedro Guevara, in the name of Laguna High School in Sta. Cruz, Province of Laguna, is hereby changed to Pedro Guevara Memorial High School.

SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval. cd
