Change of Name of Davao del Norte to Province of Davao
Republic Act No. 6430, approved on June 17, 1972, officially changes the name of the Province of Davao Del Norte to simply the Province of Davao. The act takes effect immediately upon its approval. It was published in the Official Gazette on October 9, 1972.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6430
AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL NORTE TO PROVINCE OF DAVAO
SECTION 1. The name of the Province of Davao Del Norte is changed to Province of Davao.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
