Republic Act No. 964, approved on June 20, 1953, officially changes the name of the barrio of Patay in the City of Lipa to San Jose. The act took effect immediately upon its approval. It was published in the Official Gazette in September 1953.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 964
AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE BARRIO OF PATAY, IN THE CITY OF LIPA, TO SAN JOSE
SECTION 1. The name of the barrio of Patay, in the City of Lipa, is hereby changed to San Jose. cd
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
