Change of Name of Bailen Street in Zamboanga City to La Purisima Street
Republic Act No. 1002, enacted on June 12, 1954, officially renames Bailen Street in Zamboanga City to La Purisima Street. The change applies to the segment of the street from its intersection with Ignacio Magno Street to that with Governor Alvarez Avenue. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval. It was also published in the Official Gazette shortly after its enactment.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1002
AN ACT PROVIDING THAT THE STREET IN THE CITY OF ZAMBOANGA AT PRESENT KNOWN AS BAILEN STREET, FROM ITS POINT OF INTERSECTION WITH IGNACIO MAGNO STREET TO THAT WITH GOVERNOR ALVAREZ AVENUE, SHALL HEREAFTER BE KNOWN AS LA PURISIMA STREET
SECTION 1. The street in the City of Zamboanga at present known as Bailen Street, from its point of intersection with Ignacio Magno Street to that with Governor Alvarez Avenue, shall hereafter be known as La Purisima Street.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
