Republic Act No. 8514, enacted on February 13, 1998, establishes a national high school in Barangay Bubuan, Municipality of Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, to be known as Bubuan National High School. The school will operate under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. Funding for the school's establishment will be included in the General Appropriations Act for the year following the law's enactment. The Act took effect upon approval, having lapsed into law without the President's signature in accordance with the Constitution.

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY BUBUAN IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYOG, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR TO BE KNOWN AS BUBUAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, a national high school in Barangay Bubuan, Municipality of Bayog, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, to be known as the Bubuan National High School.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
