REPUBLIC ACT NO. 662
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A BLOOD PLASMA DEHYDRATING PLANT
SECTION 1. There is hereby established, under the Department of Health, a blood plasma dehydrating plant for the purpose of collecting, treating, conserving and storing blood to be used in minimizing suffering and saving human lives.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of Health shall, in accordance with the Civil Service Law and regulations and the Salary Law, appoint and fix the salary of the personnel to carry out the purpose of this Act. cdt
SECTION 3. The Secretary of Health shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
SECTION 4. There is authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of seven hundred thousand pesos for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the blood plasma dehydrating plant during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and fifty-one.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
