Approval of the Revised Guidelines for Continuous Trial of Criminal Cases
On May 16, 2017, the Office of the Court Administrator issued Circular No. 101-2017 to inform all judges and clerks of court about the approval of the Revised Guidelines for Continuous Trial of Criminal Cases. This approval followed a resolution made by the Supreme Court on April 25, 2017, and the guidelines were published in major newspapers on May 7, 2017. The revised guidelines aim to streamline the trial process for criminal cases and are set to take effect on September 1, 2017. Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory for all relevant court personnel.

In its 25 April 2017 Resolution in A.M. No. 15-06-10-SC (Re: Revised Guidelines for Continuous Trial of Criminal Cases), the Court RESOLVED to APPROVE the Revised Guidelines for Continuous Trial of Criminal Cases.
The said Resolution, appended herein as Annex "A", was published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer and the Philippine Star on 7 May 2017 and the Revised Guidelines shall take effect on 1 September 2017.
