Appropriation of Funds to Pay Vaccinators

ACT NO. 37

AN ACT MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE PAYMENT OF VACCINATORS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF NORTHERN LUZON, AND FOR THE REESTABLISHMENT OF THE "AVERAGE" AND "RESERVE" FUND OF THE PILOTS' ASSOCIATION OF MANILA, AND FOR THE PAYMENT OF SALARIES AND EXPENSES OF THE PHILIPPINE COMMISSION, AND FOR REPAYMENT OF SURTAXES ERRONEOUSLY COLLECTED IN THE SECOND DISTRICT, DEPARTMENT OF NORTHERN LUZON

SECTION 1. The following sums are hereby appropriated in money of the United States out of any money in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended for the purposes hereinafter stated:

The sum of five hundred dollars for the payment of the balance due public vaccinators for the month of October, nineteen hundred, in the Department of the Northern Luzon.

The sum of four thousand dollars, for the reestablishment of the "average" and "reserve" fund of the Pilots' Association for the Port of Manila, as authorized and provided in article forty of the "Regulations for the pilotage and moorage of the River Pasig and Bay of Manila, approved by the admiral of the station on the eighteenth day of October, nineteen hundred."

The sum of forty thousand dollars to be paid to Frank A. Branagan, disbursing officer of the United States Philippine Commission, for the payment of salaries and expenses of the Commissioners and employees and miscellaneous expenses of the Commission, for the quarter ending December thirty-first, nineteen hundred. SECTION 2. The sum of three thousand five hundred and one dollars and fifty-two cents in Mexican money is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of surtaxes erroneously collected in the various municipalities of the Second District, Department of Northern Luzon, to such municipalities.

SECTION 3. The Insular Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay the warrants of the Military Governor for the sums so appropriated.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
