Appropriation of Funds for Maternity and Children's Hospital in Manila

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 19

AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE MATERNITY AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF MANILA

SECTION 1. Out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated there is hereby appropriated the sum of one hundred thousand pesos or so much thereof as may be necessary to be expended by the Director of the Bureau of Health upon approval by the Secretary of Health and Public Welfare for the construction of a dormitory building and additional wards for the Maternity and Children's Hospital in the City of Manila, as well as for the purchase of hospital, medical and other necessary equipment and supplies for the said hospital. asiadc

SECTION 2. Any sum or sums of the appropriations hereinabove mentioned remaining unexpended on the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hundred and forty-eight shall revert to the general funds of the National Treasury and shall not thereafter be available for expenditure except in pursuance of appropriation made by law.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
