An Act Transferring the Administrative Supervision of the Nueva Vizcaya Science High School in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, from the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to the Department of Science and Technology
Republic Act No. 8364, enacted on October 9, 1997, transfers the administrative supervision of the Nueva Vizcaya Science High School from the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to the Department of Science and Technology. The school will be overseen by a director elected by a newly established Board of Trustees, chaired by the regional director of the Department of Science and Technology, Region II. The Board is required to submit an annual report detailing the school's progress and needs to the Department of Science and Technology. AN ACT TRANSFERRING THE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION OF THE NUEVA VIZCAYA SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL IN BAYOMBONG, NUEVA VIZCAYA, FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, CULTURE AND SPORTS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
SECTION 1. The administrative supervision of the Nueva Vizcaya Science High School in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, which was established under Republic Act No. 7622, entitled: "An Act Establishing the Nueva Vizcaya Science High School in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya" is hereby transferred from the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to the Department of Science and Technology.
SECTION 2. The high school shall be headed by a director who shall be elected by a Board of Trustees.
SECTION 3. The regional director, Department of Science and Technology, Region II shall be the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nueva Vizcaya Science High School, replacing the regional director, Department of Education, Culture and Sports, Region II, who shall be a member thereof.
SECTION 4. On or before the beginning of each school year, the Board of Trustees shall file with the Department of Science and Technology a detailed report setting forth the progress, condition and needs of the high school.
SECTION 5. The Department of Science and Technology shall promulgate the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of this Act.
SECTION 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
