An Act to Amend Section 2 of Act No. 3582
Commonwealth Act No. 167, enacted on November 12, 1936, amends Section 2 of Act No. 3582, which established a Board of Censorship for moving pictures in the Philippines. The Board operates under the Secretary of the Interior's oversight and can create its own procedural rules, with decisions effective immediately unless appealed to higher authorities. This law aims to regulate film content to align with societal values and governmental prestige.
