ACT NO. 142
AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR, ENTITLED "AN ACT EXTENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ACT TO THE PROVINCE OF ROMBLON AS THEREIN DEFINED"
SECTION 1. Section four of Act Numbered One hundred and four, entitled "An Act extending the provisions of the Provincial Government Act to the Province of Romblon as therein defined," is hereby amended by striking out the words "January" at the end of the second line thereof, "July" in the third line, "quarter's" in the seventh line, and substituting for the latter word "semiannual," so that the section shall read:
"SEC. 4. The presidents or alcaldes of the municipalities of the province shall meet on the third Monday in April and October to consider improvements needed in the province and for the provincial government, and to make recommendations to the provincial board. The convention shall be called together by the provincial secretary and shall elect a chairman for each semiannual session. The provincial secretary shall act as secretary of the convention, and shall certify its recommendations to the provincial board."
SECTION 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this Act, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
