Republic Act No. 8808, enacted on August 16, 2000, formally separates the Cadaratan Annex of Bacarra National Comprehensive High School in Barangay Cadaratan, Ilocos Norte, and establishes it as an independent institution named Cadaratan National High School. The Act mandates the transfer of all personnel, records, assets, and liabilities from the annex to the new school. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with issuing necessary regulations for the implementation of the Act. Funding for the new school will initially come from the current year's appropriations of the annex and will be included in future General Appropriations Acts. The law takes effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on January 15, 2001.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8808

AN ACT SEPARATING THE BACARRA NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL - CADARATAN ANNEX LOCATED IN BARANGAY CADARATAN, MUNICIPALITY OF BACARRA, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE FROM THE BACARRA NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BACARRA, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE AND CONVERTING THE SAME INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE CADARATAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The existing Bacarra National Comprehensive High School - Cadaratan Annex located in Barangay Cadaratan, Municipality of Bacarra, Province of Ilocos Norte is hereby separated from the Bacarra National Comprehensive High School situated in the Municipality of Bacarra, Province of Ilocos Norte and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Cadaratan National High School. aAHTDS

SECTION 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SECTION 3. All personnel, records, assets and liabilities of the Bacarra National Comprehensive High School - Cadaratan Annex are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Cadaratan National High School.

SECTION 4. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Bacarra National High School - Cadaratan Annex. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Cadaratan National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. HEcSDa
