Republic Act No. 8600, enacted on March 21, 1998, establishes the Bulata National High School in Cauayan, Negros Occidental, by separating it from Linaon High School. The new school is to be equipped with four classrooms, a home economics room, a multipurpose workshop, and an administrative office. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with creating necessary regulations for the school's operation. Initial funding will be sourced from the Linaon High School's current appropriations, with future operational costs included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The Act took effect upon its approval, as it lapsed into law without the President's signature.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8600

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARATION OF THE BARANGAY BULATA EXTENSION HIGH SCHOOL LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAUAYAN, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, FROM THE LINAON HIGH SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE BULATA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1.  The Barangay Bulata Extension Class located in the Municipality of Cauayan, Negros Occidental, is hereby separated from the Linaon High School and shall henceforth be known as the Bulata National High School.

SECTION 2.  The Bulata National High School shall be equipped with four (4) classrooms, one (1) home economics room, and one (1) multipurpose workshop and a provision for one (1) administrative office.

SECTION 3.  The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 4.  The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Linaon High School—Barangay Bulata Extension. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Bulata National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 5.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval. dctai
