An Act Providing for Commutation of Quarters for Officers of the Philippines Constabulary and Telegraphic Inspectors Assigned to Duty in the City of Manila, when Quarters in Kind are Not Furnished to them
Act No. 706, enacted on March 28, 1903, provides for the commutation of quarters for officers of the Philippine Constabulary and telegraphic inspectors assigned to Manila when they are not provided with housing. These officers are entitled to a monthly commutation of fifteen US dollars. However, this benefit does not extend to those detailed from the U.S. Army. The law took effect on January 1, 1903, and retroactively validates all commutations made under its provisions since that date.
