An Act Permitting Municipalities to Change the Dates of their Local Fiestas under Certain Conditions
Act No. 2054, enacted on February 3, 1911, allows municipalities in the Philippines to change the dates of their local fiestas under specific conditions. The change must be made by December 31, 1911, and if the fiesta has already occurred that year, the new date will take effect in 1912. Once a new date is established, it can only be altered through legislative action. Additionally, if unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters or epidemics prevent the fiesta from being held on the scheduled date, the municipal council may designate a new date for that year, subject to provincial board approval.
