Republic Act No. 8629, enacted on April 30, 1998, grants Philippine citizenship to Brother Stephen Kin-Sang Lo, conferring upon him all associated rights and privileges. The law stipulates that he will fully enjoy this citizenship following the taking and registration of his oath of allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines. The act became law without the President's signature, in accordance with the Constitution. It was published in the Official Gazette on August 3, 1998.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8629
AN ACT GRANTING PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP TO BROTHER STEPHEN KIN-SANG LO
SECTION 1. Brother Stephen Kin-Sang Lo is hereby granted Philippine citizenship with all the rights, privileges and prerogatives appurtenant thereto.
Upon the taking and registration of the oath of allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines, Brother Stephen Kin-Sang Lo shall enter the full enjoyment of Philippine citizenship.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
