An Act Exempting All Boats of Less Than Fifteen Gross Tons from Taking Out a License to Engage in the Coastwise Trade of the Philippine Islands
Act No. 1354, enacted on June 15, 1905, exempts all boats under fifteen gross tons from obtaining a license to engage in the coastwise trade of the Philippine Islands. As a result, these smaller vessels are not required to provide any documentation or pay fees for licensing or admeasurement. The Act specifies that it does not authorize refunds for any fees previously paid under older laws. Additionally, it repeals any conflicting legislation and took effect on July 1, 1905, emphasizing the urgency for its enactment for the public good.
