An Act Converting the Sub-District Engineering Office Located in Naguilian, La Union into a Regular Engineering District to be Known as the La Union Second Engineering District and Appropriating Funds Therefor
Republic Act No. 9033, enacted on March 12, 2001, converts the Sub-District Engineering Office in Naguilian, La Union, into the La Union Second Engineering District under the Department of Public Works and Highways. This new engineering district will encompass the municipalities of Agoo, Aringay, Bagulin, Bauang, Burgos, Caba, Naguilian, Pugo, Rosario, Sto. Tomas, and Tubao. The Act mandates the Department to establish necessary rules for its implementation and allocates funds for its operation through the General Appropriations Act. The law takes effect upon approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 2, 2001.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9033
AN ACT CONVERTING THE SUB-DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE LOCATED IN NAGUILIAN, LA UNION INTO A REGULAR ENGINEERING DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS THE LA UNION SECOND ENGINEERING DISTRICT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Sub-District Engineering Office located in Naguilian, La Union, under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways, shall be converted into a regular engineering district to be known as the La Union Second Engineering District.
SECTION 2. The La Union Second Engineering District shall comprise the municipalities of Agoo, Aringay, Bagulin, Bauang, Burgos, Caba, Naguilian, Pugo, Rosario, Sto. Tomas and Tubao.
SECTION 3. The Department of Public Works and Highways shall promulgate rules and regulations necessary for the effective implementation of this Act.
SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
