Republic Act No. 8234, enacted on November 10, 1996, converts the Macario Molina Memorial High School in Barangay Tambac, Romblon, into a national government-funded secondary school, now named the Macario Molina National High School. The school will operate under the control and supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, which is tasked with issuing necessary rules and regulations for its operation. Funding for the school's transition will be included in the General Appropriations Act following the law's enactment. The Act took effect upon its approval and lapsed into law without the President's signature.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8234

AN ACT CONVERTING THE MACARIO MOLINA MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL AT BARANGAY TAMBAC, MUNICIPALITY OF ROMBLON, PROVINCE OF ROMBLON, INTO A NATIONAL GOVERNMENT-FUNDED SECONDARY SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE MACARIO MOLINA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1.  The Macario Molina Memorial High School at Barangay Tambac, Municipality of Romblon, Province of Romblon, is hereby converted into a regular secondary school under the control and supervision of the national government through the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, to be known as the Macario Molina National High School. cd

SECTION 2.  The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SECTION 3.  The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
